Each MartPOS plan has limits: how many branches the business may pair, and how many counters (tills) and staff accounts each branch may have. When the shop grows past a limit, you do not have to move to a bigger plan: you can buy an add-on in the owner portal. An add-on raises one limit by one for each one you buy, for the rest of the period you have paid for, and is renewed with your plan.
The add-ons
| Add-on | What it raises | Where it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Extra branch | The number of branches the business may pair | Cloud edition, on a plan with several branches |
| Extra counter (till) | The counters allowed on each branch: a till on the store PC, or on another PC of the shop network where the plan has extra tills | Where the plan limits counters |
| Extra staff account | The staff accounts allowed on each branch | Where the plan limits staff accounts |
The MartPOS team sets the price of each add-on per plan, edition and period. An add-on that has no price for your plan, edition and period is not offered, and the Add-ons section appears in Plan & billing only when at least one is on sale for you. Once plans and prices are announced on the pricing page, the add-on prices on sale are shown there with each plan too.
Buying an add-on
- Sign in to the owner portal and open Plan & billing (under Account).
- Under Add-ons, each card shows what the add-on does, how many you have, its price for your billing period, and what one more costs now.
- Enter How many and choose Get invoice.
- Pay the invoice by bank transfer, JazzCash or EasyPaisa to the accounts shown on it, and send the proof (a screenshot or receipt) under After paying, send the proof.
- The MartPOS team checks the payment under Payment reviews. Once it is verified, the limit rises at once in the cloud and reaches each store PC with its next signed licence (it checks at least hourly while online).
An extra branch can then pair with a new pairing code. An extra counter or staff account can be added on each store PC under Staff & counters.
What an add-on costs: the days left in your paid period
Add-ons are added to a paid period and end with it. So an add-on bought in the middle of the period is charged only for the days left:
the add-on's price for your billing period × how many × the days left ÷ the days in that period
rounded to the paisa. For this sum a month counts as 30 days, a year as 365 and five years as 1,825, and a day that has begun counts whole. Your billing period is the one of your last paid plan invoice (monthly or yearly for Cloud, one or five years for Offline). The invoice shows the price, the days left and the amount.
Add-ons cannot be bought during the trial, or after the paid period has ended: choose and pay for a plan first. While a plan invoice is open, add-ons wait for it; you can include them in the plan invoice instead. A lifetime desktop licence has no paid period to add them to, so these three add-ons are not sold with it; ask the MartPOS team.
The cloud add-on of an Offline licence
The cloud add-on is different from the three above. It is for an Offline (desktop) licence, a fixed term or a lifetime one: while it runs, the store PC syncs to MartPOS Cloud and the owner portal shows the shop, just as in the Cloud edition. It is bought for a month or a year under Cloud add-on in Plan & billing, where its price is set by the MartPOS team for your plan; while no price is set, it says it is not on sale yet.
- It has its own end date, apart from your licence. It is not pro-rated: a payment runs from the later of the day it is verified and the add-on's current end, so paying early never loses days.
- When it is not renewed, syncing goes on for the same grace days as a plan, then stops. The store PC keeps selling under its desktop licence; a lifetime licence stays valid for good. Sales and changes made meanwhile wait on the PC and are sent once the add-on is renewed.
- It is paid like any invoice, with a proof the MartPOS team verifies; nothing starts before that. The team can also grant or extend it from its side, for example for a payment made another way.
- While it runs, the owner can also keep a copy of each backup on MartPOS Cloud and send everything to the cloud again, as in the Cloud edition: they are part of syncing, not separate add-ons. When the add-on ends, no new copies are sent; copies already there stay in the owner portal's Backups page. See Backups and restoring a store PC.
Renewing, keeping fewer, and changing plan
When you renew or change your plan under Renew or change plan, the invoice carries your add-ons at the chosen plan's add-on price for the full new period. Under Your add-ons, renewed with the plan you can lower the number, or set 0 to drop one; the new number applies once that invoice is paid. An add-on the chosen plan does not sell for that period is left out, and the invoice says so.
An extra branch the MartPOS team added to your plan by agreement is counted too and is not charged again here.
Common questions
Why do I not see any add-ons?
No add-on has a price for your plan, edition and billing period yet, or it does not apply to your plan (for example an extra branch on a plan with one branch, or on the Offline edition). Ask the MartPOS team from Support.
When does the store PC allow the extra counter?
After the payment is verified and the store PC has fetched its new licence, at its next check (at least hourly while online). Account › Plan & licence on the store PC shows the limits and what this PC uses of them; Check now fetches the licence at once.
Our cloud add-on ended. Do we lose our licence?
No. The cloud add-on only switches syncing on and off. The store PC keeps selling under its desktop licence, and shows that syncing stopped; renew the add-on in Plan & billing and it sends everything it kept.
Is an add-on refunded if I stop using it?
No. Nothing is refunded by itself. Keep fewer at your next renewal instead, or ask the MartPOS team.
Does an extra counter count for every branch?
Yes. The counter limit is per branch, so one extra counter allows one more counter on each branch of the business.
