MartPOS vs HysabOne: which is better for a kiryana or general store in 2026?
HysabOne is cloud accounting and inventory software with a point-of-sale plan, Urdu screens and phone apps. MartPOS is point-of-sale, stock and khata software for kiryana and general stores that runs on the shop's own Windows PC and is paid once on Desktop. Here is how they compare in PKR and at the counter.
MartPOS vs HysabOne is a comparison between two different starting points. HysabOne, by Good Tech (Pvt) Ltd in Islamabad, is cloud accounting and inventory software for traders, retailers and wholesalers, with a point-of-sale plan on top. MartPOS, by Innobrains Technologies in Jhang, is point-of-sale, stock and khata software for kiryana stores, general stores and mini marts, and it keeps the books for you as the counter sells. Both sell to grocery shops in Pakistan, both keep double-entry books, and both handle customer credit. They differ in where your records live, what the counter can do, and how you pay.
This comparison takes HysabOne's prices and features from its own website, hysabone.com, its pricing page, its grocery store software page and its FAQ, checked on 7 October 2026. MartPOS's prices are from our pricing page.
MartPOS vs HysabOne: the short answer
- Paying once or every year: MartPOS Desktop Shop is Rs 29,900 once, for life, for two counters. HysabOne's POS plan is from Rs 6,563 a month billed yearly, which is Rs 78,756 a year, or Rs 7,500 month to month.
- Paying monthly: MartPOS Cloud Shop at Rs 1,990 a month, against Rs 7,500 for HysabOne POS month to month.
- Where the records live: MartPOS keeps them on the shop's own Windows PC, and billing needs no internet. HysabOne is cloud based; its FAQ says it "requires an internet connection", while its POS plan lists an "offline mode".
- The kiryana counter: loose goods by weight or by rupees, packs and cartons with their own barcodes, Urdu item names on receipts, and retail and wholesale prices are described for MartPOS. HysabOne's website does not mention them.
- Where HysabOne is ahead: Urdu screens, phone apps, unlimited users and branches in every plan, and deeper accounting, from bank reconciliation to payroll.
- Trying it first: both can be tried for 14 days: MartPOS from when its first PC is set up, and HysabOne with no credit card required.
Price in PKR over one and three years
HysabOne has three plans, shown on its pricing page as monthly prices billed yearly, with 12.5% off the month-to-month price:
- HysabOne Accounts: from Rs 3,499 a month billed yearly (Rs 3,999 month to month). Accounting only, with unlimited users and branches and the mobile app.
- HysabOne Standard: from Rs 7,000 a month billed yearly (Rs 8,000 month to month). Adds inventory, sale returns, multi-store stock transfers and profit and loss.
- HysabOne POS: from Rs 6,563 a month billed yearly (Rs 7,500 month to month). "Everything in Standard" and the point of sale, barcode scanning, cashier management, customer loyalty and offline mode.
Its grocery store page says plans start from Rs 3,499 a month; on the pricing page that is the Accounts plan, and the point of sale is in the POS plan. HysabOne says there is no setup fee.
MartPOS Desktop runs one shop on its own Windows PC and is paid once, for life: Desktop Shop is Rs 29,900 for two counters and five staff logins besides the owner's own, and Desktop Business is Rs 39,900 for four counters and ten staff logins. Both include 12 months of support and new feature updates; after that, Care at Rs 5,500 a year is optional, and MartPOS keeps working whether or not you renew it. MartPOS Cloud adds the owner portal and backups on MartPOS Cloud: Cloud Shop at Rs 1,990 a month or Rs 19,900 a year, Cloud Business at Rs 3,490 a month or Rs 34,900 a year, and Cloud Chain at Rs 5,990 a month or Rs 59,900 a year for up to three branches.
| What you run | MartPOS | HysabOne POS |
|---|---|---|
| One shop, first year | Desktop Shop: Rs 29,900 once (two counters) | Rs 78,756 billed yearly |
| One shop, three years | Desktop Shop: Rs 29,900, or Rs 40,900 with Care in years two and three | Rs 236,268 |
| Paying month to month | Cloud Shop: Rs 1,990 a month | Rs 7,500 a month |
| One shop, owner's view online, a year | Cloud Shop: Rs 19,900 (owner portal in the browser) | Rs 78,756 (browser and phone app) |
| Up to three branches, a year | Cloud Chain: Rs 59,900 | Rs 78,756, with unlimited branches |
| More than three branches, or more than 15 staff | No published plan; ask the MartPOS team | Rs 78,756, with unlimited branches and users |
HysabOne's yearly figures are its "from" prices billed yearly times twelve: Rs 6,563 × 12. For a single shop, MartPOS Desktop Shop over three years costs about an eighth of HysabOne POS, or about a sixth with Care. For a chain of four or more branches, or a business with many staff logins, HysabOne's one price for unlimited branches and users is the simpler deal.
Accounting first, or the counter first
HysabOne grew from accounting. Its plans start with customer invoices and supplier bills, a chart of accounts, manual journal vouchers, payables and receivables ageing, trial balance, bank reconciliation and a fiscal year with a backdate lock, and it sells payroll and attendance as a separate product. Its grocery store page adds the point of sale, barcode scanning, multi-store management, purchase orders, customer loyalty and expiry management with near-expiry alerts.
MartPOS starts from the counter of a neighbourhood shop, and the books follow from it:
- Loose goods by weight or by rupees. Stock is kept in kg or litres with parts, such as 0.625 kg. Type the weight, press a quick weight, or press F6 for "Rs 100 of sugar": Rs 50 at Rs 160 a kg is 0.313 kg, billed Rs 50.08. See selling loose goods by weight or by rupees.
- Packs and cartons. A packet, a carton or a bag, each with its own price and barcode, from one stock figure.
- Urdu item names. Shown beside the English name, searchable, and printed on the receipt.
- Retail and wholesale prices. Each unit has both, a bill can switch with permission, and price lists cover the shopkeepers who buy from you.
- A fast till. Keyboard-first billing, held bills, returns against the bill, discount limits and a bill in progress that survives a power cut.
- Books without an accountant. Every sale, purchase, payment and expense posts as a balanced double entry, so the day book (roznamcha), cash book, trial balance and profit and loss agree. Freight and loading go into the cost of goods, and the owner can close the books through a date.
HysabOne's website does not mention loose goods sold by weight or by amount, packs and cartons, Urdu item names on receipts, or wholesale price levels at the till.
Udhaar khata
HysabOne keeps customer and supplier ledgers with receivables ageing in 30, 60 and 90-day buckets, and sends invoices, ledgers and payment reminders on WhatsApp. Credit limits are not stated.
MartPOS keeps udhaar khata for customers at the till: each customer has a credit limit, and a bill that would go over it is refused, needs the cashier to confirm, or needs a manager's PIN, as the shop chooses. Statements, ageing, advances kept apart, and supplier accounts are all there. More on the khata software page.
Offline, the owner's view and FBR
HysabOne is cloud based and works in a browser and in its phone apps. Its FAQ says "Yes, HysabOne requires an internet connection", while its POS plan lists "offline mode" and its home page says the mobile app "works offline too". If your line drops often, ask HysabOne to show billing with the internet unplugged.
In MartPOS the shop's records live on its own Windows PC, the store server, and other PCs join as tills over the shop network. Selling, returns, purchases and closing the day need no internet; the licence is checked on the PC itself and renewed when it is online, 30 days at a time with 14 days' grace. On the Cloud plans, the owner portal shows each branch's sales, stock and khata, with the time each one last reported, in any browser. See offline and cloud.
On FBR, HysabOne's home page shows posting invoices to FBR's IRIS from inside its books, and its pages say it handles GST and FBR. MartPOS has optional FBR POS integration in every plan, off until you switch it on; then every sale and return is reported to FBR's POS system right after the bill is saved, and the receipt carries FBR's invoice number and QR code. See FBR POS reporting for retailers, and ask your tax adviser what your business must do.

- Phone apps: HysabOne has phone apps with its dashboard, daily activity and reports. MartPOS has no phone app; its owner portal works in a phone's browser.
- Unlimited users and branches: in every HysabOne plan. MartPOS plans have set counters, staff logins and branches.
- Deeper accounting: a chart of accounts, manual journal vouchers, bank reconciliation, sales quotations and orders, sales agents, multi-currency, and payroll and attendance.
